Caller spoke with my mother (who has dementia) asking her if she had any back, knee, shoulder pain and then proceeded to tell her as a medicare recipient, she qualified for back, knee, shoulder braces at NO COST to her. I was not witness to the conversation but a couple of days later, there was a message on her answering machine from a Katherine Waugh, APRN letting her know that her braces had been approved. I tried to reach this person at the number the call appeared to come from but was not surprised I got a recording – I did leave a message but never received a return call. Within a couple of days, a box full of braces arrived at my mother’s home. As soon as I found out, I tried to call the number on the Delivery ticket 1-866-782-5001 and again got a recording and left a message but have yet to receive a return call.
