I received a phone call from a man stating that via Publishers Clearing House, my name had been selected out of 52 names in Indiana to receive $1.5 million and a 2017 Mercedes. Being that I am playing the PCH games, I almost fell for it. I went so far as to write down the man’s name: Donald Goldberg (with a very foreign accent), his code #4404, the package prize code #810229502. The first phone number he gave me to contact them if needed was not legit. The second number was for Kingston Jamaica and finally the third number that did work was in Buffalo New York. While I had them on the land line, I was dialing the other numbers on my cell phone.
These people are very convincing, had I not had the ability to verify the phone numbers I may have ended up doing something I would regret. The clincher was when he told me I would have to send them a fee for filing paperwork with the IRS so that I wouldn’t get in trouble for receiving money from outside of the state.
