Type of a scam Debt Collections
I keep receiving very disturbing and nasty and harassing calls from a place called progressive professional services saying that they are calling on behalf of the County Clerks office and if I do not pay I will be going to jail but when I asked for information or documentation all they say is it was from a payday loan 8 years ago. Everyone is telling me that this is a scam but now they are calling my family and friends and telling them that I owe all this money or I will be going to jail so I better pay immediately. I am so embarrassed and mortified right now. I do not know what to do. The people that are calling have accents and sound foreign. The phone number that comes up on my caller ID is 717-316-0710 and they leave a number to call back as 1-877-537-3969. Please Help.
