Type of a scam Employment
So I received a text message stating they found my resume on indeed to email them so I did. The lady got back to me via email told me to add her on google hangouts and I did. We talked she sounded professional as she had no errors in grammar. She told me the offer was for an administartive assistant job for profile packaging company. The pay was $29 an hr paid biweekly but I needed to get office equipment such as a MacBook Pro a laser jet printer and an intellifax machine all of which the company would pay for they just needed to send me a cashiers check. So I received the cashiers check and called the issuing bank and it was a fake. Not the first time that particular bank has gotten the same call. The woman I had spoken with about the job said her name was Kareece Walker. Also she gave me a website to “prove” it was legit. Well the website is profilepackging.com.au it’s a food service packaging company based out of Australia. Just be aware.
