Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
I had surgery last year and I was sent a medical invoice by mail last week by: Professional Surgical Services, LLC, stating that I owe $240.00. This was the portion I needed to pay after Insurance. I didn’t recognize the company name that sent me the invoice. I then started to analyze the bill. The address didn’t make sense in my mind, so I researched the address and I learned it didn’t exist. The email address provided ([email protected]) on the bill didn’t match the company’s name either. The bill said that I was past due 30 days. My surgery last year was in June. I knew I settled all of my medical bills and I didn’t owe anything for the procedure that was performed then. This fake Company "Professional Surgical Services" does not have a website. They wanted me to call to pay my invoice over the phone or I could email them. They did give me the option to pay by check, but they wanted me to make the check out to "Valley Surgical Services, LLC" this name doesn’t match the company provided either.
