Type of a scam Debt Collections
A person named *** with telephone number 781.202.4345 called my daughter’s cell phone and stated he was from *** *** *** that had a civil complaint against me. Did she know me and could she get in touch with me? He gave her a file number. Then the number for me to call was 844.407.5547. The name when I called the company was *** *** *** ***. There was no such firm listed on the internet when I did a search. This seemed strange to me for a couple of reasons. 1) why would someone contact my daughter who has not lived with me for over 10 years about me? 2) The person calling used my familiar name and not my professional name as would be for any type of business.
