Type of a scam Rental
I was searching for properties to rent in the St Petes Beach area, and I received an email about a property that I looked at on VRBO.com or Airbnb.com. But they said they were from Pro Retreats Inc and the rate was amazing. I looked at their website, which was very good, very convincing, but something seemed a little off. The email came from a gmail.com address, and the website and company said they were based out of the UK. I did more research and found that this company was previously known as many other entities. It looks like they moved web addresses and set up shop again, this time under proretreatsinc.com. They ask for a bank transfer to secure the rental, and at that point, the apparently just take your money and run. They lift real property details and pictures from legit rental sites and try to get you to book the rental through them.
