Type of a scam Tech Support

Computer screen showed MICROSOFT WINDOWS BLOCKED SPYWEAR and included a phone number. Unable to unlock, foolishly called number. Told later by computer experts exactly wrong thing to do. After made contact was overwhelmed by info provided by scammer concerning the number of people in foreign countries and world wide that now had access to my personal info ad infinitum. Was offered three choices of repair/protection: 5yr approx $5000.00, midterm approx $3500.00, 3 yr $1500.00. While this info was on screen it was also running a flow of figures indicating how many more individuals were attacking my info. I fell for the scam because I control all of my considerable retirement monies that furnish most of my present income and did not know what else to do. I signed for the $1500.00 package. Later on I realized my mistake and change my access financial codes and obtained new credit cards. Too late, the charge went thru, the credit card co instituted a dispute. Service offered by this co can be had at computer shops for $150.00 +-
