Type of a scam Employment
I recieved a text message identifying me as being moved into the next stage in the hiring process for a company called Prisma Health. Immediately I identified the less than perfect English in the text, and verified that Prisma Health is a company from an entirely different state from mine, and that I definitely didn’t apply to a job with them, or that even matched what the text provided me.
I decided to play along to gather information. I downloaded Google Hangouts and contacted "Kristen." I was greeted with increasingly broken English and responses that were each in different fonts and formatting. The estimation of hourly pay also went up with each mention, staying inconsistent.
I was advised that this high paying job would require me to be online and available during working hours to be paid, but tasks may or may not be given.
After I grew bored with their pitiful attempts to reel me in, I blocked the account on Google, and responded to the text telling them I was aware it was a scam. They replied once saying it was not, and did not respond again.
