Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Received a check from Principal Trust Company. Since we do not have an account with principal trust, we tried to contact the company by looking up their phone number online. There is no phone number or address listed on the check only the company name and the city and state. When calling the phone numbers listed online, we get a recorded message asking us to enter our Social Security number. There is no option to speak with a real person. Every option that you select they ask you for your Social Security number (Which we did not provide figuring this to be a scam)
