Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
I received numerous calls from both of the listed numbers (212-239-0012 — NYC landline; 973-989-6535 — Dover, NJ listing) since January 2016. Caller claimed to be affiliate of the Princeton Sports League and was seeking sponsorship for their yearbook (there is no such thing). Suspicious, I requested additional info before committing to anything, which was never sent. Instead, I later received a voice message in March from "Frank Roman" regarding my "invoice". I called back to dispute this. Frank stated that my "ad" had already been created and placed in the yearbook, and that it was too late to retract it. I refused to pay, and hung up. I received another phone call one week later in a second attempt to coerce payment for an ad in a book that doesn’t exist. After a heated exchange following my refusal to pay, the caller hung up. I have since blocked both numbers.
