Type of a scam Employment
I’m not sure if this is a scam, however, the conversation relayed in the Aastrid Employment Scam is exactly the same as my conversation with PrimEra. The exceptions are: the company name is PrimEra Medical Technologies; the hiring recruiter is Christopher Neyman; and the salary is $18/hour for training and $30/hour for the same Admin Asst position. The list of hardware/software is the same as well. I have provided no personal information to them; however, they are Fed Ex’ing the check to me today to cover the cost of the required equipment. They have no US locations at this time, although they provided me with the same list of locations to open as provided to the other individual. I have requested documentation from them to verify their identity and am awaiting receipt of same. We have communicated via Google Hangouts, and I have no phone number for them. The fax number provided on their "employment offer" k(which was not written on company letterhead) is for an 800 number. Yesterday, when I requested contact information, I was immediately called from a cell phone (Los Angeles). I checked this phone number and it is associated with Aastrid. This may not be a scam; however, it is extremely odd that my situation is so much like the other individual’s experience.
