Prestige Data Solution representative "Giovanni Concepcion" called to ask me to identify and claim my business information on Google to claim my business listing. In response to this call, I checked and noticed that my business was "permanently closed". I was originally told it would cost me $499 to change my business status. As a senior citizen, I told him that I couldn’t afford that amount. The caller went offline for a moment and came back saying that the senior citizen discount was $299. Unfortunately, I fell for the scam and provided my bank information. I have now reported the scam to my bank to dispute the charges.
"Giovanni Concepcion" had stated that he was part of a company that Google had outsourced this service to Prestige Data Solution which lended credibility to his statements.
After telephoning the caller back at one of the many telephone numbers associated with him, he agreed to credit my account. I’m awaiting receipt of the credit.
