Type of a scam Online Purchase
The gift card was given to me as a gift, I had trouble activating the card online so I called the phone number on the back of the card (customer service). I was informed to wait an hour and the card would be active. The next day I tried to use it for an online purchase it was declined. Again I tried using the card at a grocery store, the card was declined. I went home checked the account the amount was still on the card. So the next day I tried to use it at a different grocery store Again it was declined. I went home and went online to check I had only $0.56 on it. I called card services was on hold for 30 mins an was disconnected. I called back spoke to a rep and was transferred to fraud, I was told I had to call the police and wait for a packet with the list of where the card was used. I never received the packet. I now cannot get on the website and can no longer see the transactions. When I call back I was told my card number does not exist.
