Type of a scam Tech Support

A year ago I was having problems with my computer. Someone actually had control of my computer. I contacted a number that I now believe was fraudulent. Now I received an email to renew. It had a number to call to cancel. When I called that number, the man instructed me to go to a website to cancel. I had to click on a button that indicated what kind of computer I had. When I did, he again had control of my computer. He was on the phone with me. He said he needed to refund money to me so that they could cancel, wanted my debit card. Had to be a debit. I wouldn’t give it. He threatened me to ruin my credit. I tried to shut down my computer but he controlled my mouse. I forced a shut down. When I restarted all my desktop files had been deleted. AppleCare could not help me get them back. I discovered a subsequent email from Western Union that I had registered and changed my profile. I contacted WU and cancelled. Now I am getting emails telling me to renew.
