I got a piece of mail after a bought a used car a few weeks ago. The letter claimed that my warranty was expiring and i needed to take action. No company name was listed on the letter, only a number to call. When i called, i asked what this was about and the man told me this was in addition to my warranty. I told him the letter was deceiving. He told me he would take me off the call list. I think this company should be prosecuted for deceptive business practices.

Received a letter in the mail warning me that my vehicle warranty was running out and that I needed to act immediately in order to get a special plan they were offering. The letter says, ‘Final Notice’ on it but I never received any notice from them in the first place. There is no web site address and no conditions or terms on the back of the letter as per usual. I looked for a web site and came up with nothing. (I research companies on line for a living). After I made the purchase I waited for approximately 2 hours before I got a confirmation email (which I only got after I called them asking about it.) The email then came with a disclaimer/warning on it from Hotmail. It read, "This sender failed our fraud detection checks and may not be who they appear to be". Then in addition to that, I clicked on their link to "view the contract terms" and nothing came up. Needless to say, everything felt wrong. CAVEAT EMPTOR!
