Type of a scam Other

I received an email at an email address I rarely use and when I do use it, I only use it for one purpose. The fact that this email came to this particular email address put me on alert. I went to a generic website that made it very difficult to find the name of the company, the address, or even their phone number. When you click on "contact us" page you are shown a form and the number is placed in a place where you may miss it. No names of "board members," CEO’s, managers, staff, etc are listed on the website and no information is given on how you won the reward. So I sent an email back to Terry Knight (with the email [email protected]) who copied and pasted information that I could find on the website. There was no personal exchange with Terry and no contact information listed in the email. I decided to "play along" as if I was inquiring about how to obtain my reward. Terry informed me that I would need to follow a specific link (a link he put in the email) to "accept" and "claim" my reward. I clicked on the link and found that I would need to pay at least $149 to obtain my reward or I could pay more if I really wanted a nice one. It’s a sketchy email and the so called Terry Knight was distant. Not 100% sure it was a scam but it was tricky and I didn’t trust it. Be careful and inquire.
