I’m assuming they purchased information from Keller Williams Mortgage, found what I owe on a new property, and sent a very suggestive letter leading me to believed I was in breach of contract if I did not immediately send back my information for them to call me. After a more thorough review, the letter was an attempt to provide death insurance for the loan I’d just taken out, however, the fine print states, "this is not a solicitation." which reinforced the original theory that this was a demand letter for breach of contract.

The company does not actually list their name in the letter. It can only be found in the pre-paid postage envelope enclosed along with the letter.

The RE: line will be your bank, however this letter is not from your bank (I made sure to check with them).

It includes a sense of urgency regarding your home mortgage, saying that you could be missing out on information regarding mortgage payments in the event of disability or unemployment.

Letter received a week after refinanced my mortgage. States I did not respond to a previous notice to enroll in a mortgage protection program. Funny I never received a notice & the letter states I have a short time to enroll. But fine print states "not an application for coverage". No website,no phone #-no way to contact any reputable company. Did a search of "Planned Security, Jackson MS" and not much found out there. So this does appear to be a Pfishing scam. I will be reporting this letter to my Mortgage holder.
