A guy named richard hopkins contacted me via Facebook messenger with a phone number to call saying he works for the community development block grant program. I asked what i needing to do to get the grant they had me answer about 20 questions and then told me I’m eligible for the grant of $50,000 dollars and all I needed to do is pay $550.00 dollars via American express gift card all the messages were done by text only sending pics of the gift card. Once they received it the sent info about my grant winnings being delivered today then awhile later got message and pic saying the irs stopped the fedex vehicle cuz taxes wasn’t paid on the winnings then proceeded to ask me for the $3,000 dollars to pay the irs taxes to get the money released. I told them I don’t have it and would like my $550.00 dollars back but never recovered the money back or a message

I was contacted by a woman who told me I was selected for a government grant because I haven’t had any bankruptcy, nor criminal records. She knew my first and last name. She told me to call another number to accept the grant and use this code Ag554 .. I called the number .. And the guy re explained it .. Saying I dont have to pay it back I don’t have to pay any taxes on it .. His name was George butler .. He told me I just needed to put down a security deposit of 250 dollars to claim this money then he told me to go to the nearest Western union … HE SAID DON’T TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS GRANT… Then he preceded to tell me .. I needed to pay 1,000 because of the taxes on the amount .. My state won’t release the money .. I got angry and told the guy I didn’t wanna do it anymore .. This don’t make sense .. I don’t think it is real … Anymore .. He then told me he was a father of 2 he live paycheck to paycheck its 100% real… He then said he will pay 500$ because he wants me to have the money he don’t want anyone to claim the money … And to come up 500 .. I did so .. And transferred the money .. He told me everything went through I should have the money by midnight due to snowfall… I googled the names given and numbers I was called from thats when I realized I became a victim of being scammed
