On 03/22/19 at approximately 09:55am a female called and stated she was from a pharmacy company and has a topical medication approved for my husband by his physician. the caller did not know my husbands dr’s name or the name of the medication, only repeatedly claiming it is "perfectly legal/legit". the caller was questioned again about the name of the medication or my husbands dr’s name but she did not answer. I told her I never heard of it and the caller hung up. The caller had a European accent and I heard multiple voices in the background

The scammer gave our name and asked if it was the correct address, claiming to be from the pharmacy. Said it was for a topical ointment that the Health provider ordered and insurance had contacted them. Then asked for date of birth to verify the information. When I said I’m not giving you that, she hung up. I called the number back and gave them a fake name and she said that I was contacted because my healthcare provider ordered this topical pain cream for me. I asked again the name of the company and she said pharmacy. I asked her where their corporate headquarters are located and she hung up.

I got a phone call today from 231-220-9531 a woman with a foreign accent, like India. She asked if it was me. Then she said I was approved for topical medicine for skin pain. She knew my name and address. She said a request had been sent over. I asked how she knew my information. The more questions I asked the more evasive she began. When it was clear to her that I wasn’t cooperating, she hung up. Then I called ack and got a different person. They answered the phone "Pharmacy". And this rep began hollering at me, saying "Do you want this service or not", and slammed down the phone in my ear. I went to the emergency room for shingles a couple of weeks ago. Who is selling my info – the hospital or the pharmacy?

These people knew my name and claim to be from a pharmacy calling about a prescription, and asked me "are you Jane Doe". I said yes but then quickly realized they were scammers so I think they were tricking me into saying yes. I’m watching my credit card statements and phone bills carefully.
