I was in the process of adopting 3 puppies from a gentleman named Roderick T Foley from Rapid City, Dakota. This gentleman indicated he had some coupons that he would use to send the puppies to me via airplane at no cost. He emphasized the fact that it was better for the puppies to travel this way. I agreed. On 11.8.20, he sent a photo of him and a female with to crates in an airport. He followed this photo with a write up indicating he was sending the puppies.
After a couple of hours, I received a phone call from the above number indicating that there was a problem with the transport of the puppies as they needed to be in a special type of container due to the temperatures. He indicated that I needed to provide three gift cards from Walmart, each one in the amount of $500.00 and that the money would be refunded back to me when the puppies were delivered. I questioned this, but he insisted that there was no other way and that this was required to transport the puppies. I asked why this had not been discussed with the person sending the puppies as that person in my mind was the one responsible for this type of arrangement with the transportation company. He insisted that we had to do it this way. I purchased the three cards, and he then requested that I send him photos of each card front and back. I did. After completing this process, about two hours passed. He then called again and ask that I went and purchased 3 more cards in the same amount indicating that there was a need for a second container for the puppies. I questioned this as this were very small puppies and there was no justification for a second container. He became very irate, I asked to speak to a supervisor who was also very rude, pushy and attempted to demean my concern regarding the request, they had also said that I would have to pay for the overnight care of the puppies, as I had not sent them the money to make the transfer possible at that time. I informed them that it was their responsibility as technically this was the sender’s responsibility and not mines, and if there a need for a second container they should had informed me in the first call. The supervisor acquiesce and indicated that I just needed to go “immediately to the store and purchase 3 more cards” I told him I couldn’t do it and that it would have to wait until today as all this conversation was taken place after 9 pm EST. This morning, he called telling me to go immediately to the store to get the cards. I explained they didn’t have them in the local Walmart and the nearest store with any possibility of having them was in Tallahassee a 45 minutes drive. He insisted I had to go. I got annoyed and told him I had to work on my own terms, and I would try. This really bothered me, and it was at this point that I began a search for fraud from this company and found that indeed on the internet there is mentioned of this company being involved in scams. They called again and at this point, I read to them what was written about them on the site, he hung up and later sent another text asking me “Did you buy it” to which I replied, “NO, and I won’t” and this point we had already had the conversation regarding fraud and he then replied “We don’t even know what you are talking about”, I replied, “Funny, I am responding to your previous email asking me if I bought it” and that was the end of my conversation with the company’s agent.
After this event, I then received a call from the “alleged owner of the puppies” pretending to be very concerned about the situation and providing me with a photo ID from the VA. I informed him that the company he had hired was a fraud, what they had charged me, and their rude approach towards the client. he replied “OMG”, then said, “there are two pet logistics. I just find out, just set up Zelle and pay there since you left work, am very sorry for all this trust me all will go well”, I replied, “unfortunately I will not pay. I am not going to be scammed. If you want to clear your name, you need to be the one to pay for these alleged containers which they claim they will reimburse your money back and make good on your word and make the puppies arrive in my arms. The ball is in your court to clear your name as well as theirs. These puppies would have had the best possible home.” There was no further communication from him to me.
All the communications are in my cell phone under messages, unfortunately, I don’t have a way to print them as a document to include in this document. Attached photos of the alleged puppies.

The exact same happened to me just today, did you ever find out anything about this and if let me know what you did and if you got your money back I lost 2250 to this guy not knowing that it was a scam and he was very rude with me and he also sent me the ID picture thinking that he can fool me to get additional 2000 dollars to the 2250 he already took

Answered add about free Labrador puppies on www.classifiedads.com, sent text message and received text back next day asking back n forth to make sure I was a good home, and they said pups were 12 weeks old. Said they were free due to them relocating to Norfolk, VA because of husbands health, leukemia… Said they would set up with courier company for delivery and I would make payment arrangements with them. Then called me to verify i’d received it, said to email verification code at top of email and confirm address correct then they’d send link for payment. I asked if I could pay through PayPal, he hesitated and said I could but it would be faster if I paid the owner/dog handler so she could pay courier directly when puppy was shipped. After email/phone call, it felt really fishy so I researched online and this company has several scam alerts attached to it so I wanted to report them before others are taken advantage of. I did NOT follow through with transaction.
