Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received an email stating "You have been accepted to evaluate stores". When I seen the email I assumed it was an work from home job I may have applied to. However I was suspicious because the business name was not anything I remembered applying to. I carried on and accepted the offer just for extra cash. A check was sent in the amount of $1475. With the check I was sent instructions on how to spend the money and what to do after the task was complete. I went to deposit check into my account and a few days letter the money was gone. The bank said the check was fraud and I had a feeling it was too which is why I let is sit verses doing the task first. The number that was texting me said to send copy of receipt from deposited check and wondered when I would complete the task.
