Type of a scam Utility

We received a call at work (a veterinary hospital), the caller ID said Pepco Energy, the woman on the other end said Pepco. She said they hadn’t received payment in 2 months and the power was going to be shut off in 45 minutes. To get information on how to stop this from happening she gave me a number to call. I immediately called the number she gave me and spoke to "Sandy Johnson". She told me she was the payments manager. She said if we didn’t pay $798.10 in 20 minutes our power would be shut off. I told her that I was looking at the past 2 invoices and check copies. The invoices from pepco also show the previous payment was received. Nor do 2 months of nonpayment add up to that amount of money. She told me that we had to go to the address 602 Wallerson Road Catonsville MD and pay in cash in 15 minutes or the power would go off and there was nothing else we could do to prevent this. We could we could file a report and hear back about it in 48 hours but we still had to immediately make the payment. I hung up and called the number listed on the pepco invoice and verified with the real pepco that our account was up to date on payments.
