Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Hello,
I hadn’t seen this one before. I received it on Nov. 17th, 2015 by e-mail in Ottawa. I checked it out on Snopes and it seems to be one of those organizations who sends you out a fake cheque to get info on your real bank account.
The received e-mail is attached as a .PNG. Note that the e-mail address uses a slightly different spelling of the water company’s name.
Although I was targeted, I was not scammed. I just sent this on to you for your tracking service.
