Type of a scam Tech Support
feb. 2020 warning on computer screen to contact pcfix24/7 or computer will be compromised. called number provided and 800-850 was paid by credit card to fix. over the months found info it was unnecessary and is a popular scam. Again in Aug of 2020 they contacted me by phone saying illicit sites have been visited by a hacker through email and ip address, as well as banking information. All do to Covid and people being home and hacking. They said it is vital or I could be in trouble and computer will be lost. I hesitated and one person got irate because I wanted to pay by card again, and he insisted They are only accepting checks. After worrying I scanned a check for $1000 to Anderson pcc media LLC. I started to see red flags,as this was a different company, they gained quick access to my personal info. I finally called my bank and put a stop on the check. I now have to change all my passwords and visit my bank in fear of them having access to my banking. And from what I found out, need to clean my computer. Very manipulative, and amazing they continue to function.
