I was using Safari on my iPhone, when multiple pop-ups showed up on my phone. I could not get them off my phone. When you clicked ok, it went right back in to the pop-ups. There was one pop-up that gave a phone number to call to clear away the pop-ups. The number was (800) 313-9401. Then a foreign voiced male walked me through instructions to clear the pop-ups up in Data and History. He, also, asked for credit card information to pay a $100 fee. Of course out of fear, I gave him my number. He wanted the serial number for my iPhone too. I did what he told me to and shut my phone off for two minutes. Then he called back. When he called back, he called from (844) 300-8828. He tried to get the data for another credit card. I told him that I did not have any other credit cards. He wanted to put me on a conference call to get the money. I hung up, not giving him the chance to steal any more of my money, information, or time. At that point, I called my credit card company and cancelled that card.
