Type of a scam Counterfeit Product
I was told by the post office clerk that I could download an application to renew my passport. I google searched and passportusa website came up and when I clicked on it, it looked official and had areas to apply for a passport or to renew a passport. After putting all my personal information in, it came up to pay$ $38.00 to print it. That’s when I realized it was a scam. I did not pay the money, but am now worried that whoever runs this website has my personal information and will use it for identity theft. At the bottom of the website in very small print it states that you can get the application for free. But it is not noticeable, and I believe this is an attempt by this company to keep from getting in to legal trouble. I also researched and saw where this website has scammed people out of money.
