Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
We received an invoice from Douglas Remy of Paragon Trailer Center, stating I had an "overdue obligation of $1680." The email came with an attachment, which I did not open. It requested I "process the deposit today."
– While I received the email recently, the date of the letter is 8/30/2016 – almost two years ago.
– Paragon Trailer Center only exists in Louisville, KY and Cartersville, GA – not Arlington, VA
– the scammers used my profile information from LinkedIn to obtain my email address, which I alerted LinkedIn and they stated that other members have reported the same issue.
– I contacted the Florida AG’s office of Pam Bondi to report the issue.
