Type of a scam Online Purchase
I’m big into fly fishing so I saw an ad on Facebook for a fishing vest that I would have like to have. I checked out the website, looked at the reviews and it seemed legitimate. After placing an order on 12 April 2018, I received confirmation email saying my order was being processed. After a month of no updates, I decided to contact the company via email on their website and I heard nothing from them. I gave it a couple more weeks, figuring I would get an update on the order, but still nothing. I, once again, contacted them via email on their website with no luck. I checked the confirmation email I got after I made the order and the email had changed. I looked the name up on Facebook and it’s supposedly a guy that lives in Bangladesh, India. I thought that was weird since Bangladesh is it’s own country. I immediately called my bank to dispute the charges since I thought it was a scam. I’ve kept all evidence and took screenshots of the website, reviews, and confirmation email I received.
