Type of a scam Debt Collections
A woman from ORC Holding named Brook (extension 2121) called me and said that I owed a $9000 debt and that they were taking me to civil court. I am elderly and I don’t owe any debt of that amount. I double checked all my sources to ensure that I did not. When I called them back, I asked if they were sure they had the correct name and when they spelled my name out, they spelled it incorrectly. When I said the spelling was incorrect they threateningly said, don’t worry we have the correct information and that they "got me". They even tried to get me to give them my back account information over the phone. I did not give them any personal information. I called my son who is a local police officer and he said that this was indeed a scam.
