Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I had clicked on a Facebook add to get paid to put a advertising wrap on one of my vehicles. About a month later I received a Fed Ex “ Priority Overnight envelope on my door. The Envelope contained a cashiers check made out to me for the sum $ 3,980.00 and a letter telling me to deposited check and immediately notify “ Allen Smith auto wrap campaign manager” thatI had deposited the check. Upon receiving a text from me they would schedule the installer right away. I was instructed to pay the installer and keep the rest of the money towards my weekly salary of $500 for advertising. There was no website listed in the letter nor an email address. Just a phone number to call or text. I was suspicious so I called the credit union the check was issued on and spoke to a person at the credit union who informed me the check number was invalid. The check number did contain the correct routing number for the bank. I decided to call the phone number in the letter and speak to the auto wrap campaign manager. My call was not answered but immediately I received a text saying hello. I asked by text what will I be advertising? I was texted photos of Baskin-Robbins ice cream Wrapped vehicles. I Asked if they had a website? I was told no website. I texted back your check is no good. Hit texted back the check is good. I ended the conversation at that point and received another text saying “Hello?”. I did not respond further. I am not sure how the scam works but I am sure it is a scam!!
