Type of a scam Family/Friend Emergency
On 1/24/2018 I got a call from a police officer & he said there was a warrant out for my arrest for not appearing for jury duty. I was to get a check for $1,080.62 & bring it down to the court house in Columbus. They would clear my fine & give me the money back. He gave me to another officer who was new & then gave me back to him saying I should stay on the phone & let him know where I was at all times until I arrived down town. I got suspicious & gave the phone to my husband while I called a retired judge/friend of mine. He told the man he would call down to another judge & take care of it. I posted it on Facebook & see where others are being given a similar story. It seems they are targeting Realtors.
