Type of a scam Utility
The caller mentioned something about my Ohio Gas bill, then tricked me into saying "yes". First of all I don’t have gas at my house. And, secondly, I’m concerned that the caller may have recorded my "yes" response, and may use this to fraudulently charge me for services that I didn’t order or receive. I hung up the phone as soon as I suspected the call was a scam.
I called the police to report this issue and was told there was nothing they could do. Even though I have the caller ID number, the police officer said it was most likely phony.
