Type of a scam Online Purchase
On the messaging app SnapChat, I saw an ad for ‘free clout goggles’. On that ad was a link, which directed me to enter my debit card information for a $6.23 shipping charge. Once having entered my information, it allowed me to make the online purchase, and, the next day, sent me an email confirming my purchase. My card had already been charged. Two weeks later, I received an email telling me that my order has been shipped, but now, 2 months since my initial purchase, I have received no further communication regarding my order, despite having sent the corporation 3 separate emails about my concerns. I now heavily doubt that I will ever receive these googles, and am worried that this company, which was heavily promoted through the wildly popular SnapChat app, has stolen money from thousands of young customers. On their pngage, ‘www.ogstorm.com’ there is a stark lack of information, and the only provided way to contact the company is through a vague email address.
