Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
I had heard of the obama loan forgiveness through word of mouth. I decided to apply via internet. There was a person over the phone that prescreened me to see if i qualified. He said I did. I gave him my credit card info. He collected $***. Then a lady emailed me and stated I need to submit my income taxes. On my income taxes showed my ssn, my son’s ssn, and lots of other confidential information. My identity is at high risk of being theft. It wasn’t until fasfa contacted me stating I was late on my payment and stated they have no record of someone submitting paperwork to them showing the loans were going to be paid off. I did try to call them back but they blocked my phone number. I called on another cell phone number and they answered but hung up once I stated my name and that I had recently applied already. I do have bank records and an email however, I do not have a "snip" tool to cut and paste. I am very concerned because I do see their website is still active and do not want someone else to be a victim of this as well.
