Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I am a student at Rivier University in Nashua, NH. I got an email on my college website offering mystery shopper jobs. I responded with my name and phone number, and was later contacted via text message that I was approved. They asked for my mailing address and within a few days I received an assignment to survey an Apple’s store along with a check for $2900. They person texting me identified himself as Thomas Muller from OAPbuster. I knew then it was too good to be true.
