The company sent a letter with a fake credit card attached. The letter makes it sound like a credit card that needs to be activated. In reality, it is not a credit card but a phone number and website that is attempting to collect your personal information or trick you into giving permission to access your credit report.

This company sent me a card that looked liked a credit card but is not upon inspection. They claimed to be offering a ridiculously large credit limit (500K). The accompany material ask that you call to "activate" the card. I believe it is illegal to send unsolicited credit cards, However, this appears to be an attempt to give you permission to gain credit information. It may also be another phishing type scheme. I did not call. I did a search online and discovered others have received this as well and believe it to be a scam as I did, given that it was unsolicited and the credit card they were asking us to activate was not a proper card (e.g., no signature line, no CVC code). At they very least this is fraudulent as the number they give cannot activate a card as the card sent is not a proper credit card.

Sent an "Activate Your Card Now" letter to work address with personal name and company name. Credit card attached with a member since date of 11/16 valid through 01/17. I received a credit card in the mail that includes my name and place of business on it. The letter says that I have $500,000 of available credit and urges me to activate the card immediately. On the back of the letter, there is a small notice stating that this is not an offer of credit. I googled the company and found that many others have received similar letters with credit cards, and that the company has changed their name three times in the past year or two. I’m assuming this is an identity theft scam.

Same issues as everyone else. The mailer looked like a real CC with all our information on it but we have never heard of Notable Capital. There was no legal information on the back of the letter like the normal CC’s have on them. Unsolicited "premium platinum card" with $150,000 available credit from Notable Capital. "Member since 10/16" – Our business has company credit cards for our employees but has never had any dealings with this company. Card is only valid thru 11/16. The mailing is telling our employee to activate his card now (1-866-877-9512). With a little research I learned this is a scam phishing for financial information by a "loan company" and I destroyed the card.

We received two mailers, one for $500,000 line of credit, another for $150,000 in two different individuals names. Both appear to be Visa numbers, but don’t have the Visa logo. On the back is "Platinum lease card-Your card is issued and serviced by Notable Capital." There is no CVV code. On the front is Valid thru 11/16, Member since 09/16. There is no balance, but it looks like someone opened an account, which they didn’t. One of the mailers was for an outdated company name and person.

I work as an administrative assistant for a consulting firm. In the mail, we received what appeared to be a credit card for our vice president. The card appeared to be a Visa, but there wasn’t a logo on the card. The card said he was a member since 9/16, but the card is only valid until 11/16. The back of the letter states, "This is not an offer of credit. Notable Capital reserves the right to verify your financial information and to confirm your credit worthiness in its sole discretion. This will include, but is not limited to, verifying banking and trade relationships and obtaining credit reports Notable Capital Fraud Protection Program protects the owner of this business."

Everything about the card seems real sketchy.

Type of a scam Credit Cards

I received an unsolicited Platinum Business credit card with a credit limit of $150,000. My name and the name of the company I work for is listed on the front of the card. I have never heard of Notable Capital nor have I applied for a line of credit with this company. There is no CSV 3-digit code on the back nor is there a place to sign your name. It instructs you to call (866) 509-6145 to ‘activate’ the card. If you go to the website that is listed on the paper that card came attached to, www.notablecapital.com, it prompts you to enter your 16-digit card number to ‘activate’ the card. Also, there was no pamphlet or information on the credit terms.

Latoya –

Victim Location 22902

Type of a scam Credit Cards

We received the credit card offer in a plain white envelope, just like a typical credit card statement, at our P.O. box. I opened the letter and immediately noticed something was wrong.

1. The physical card was in the envelope, seemingly ready to use upon activation.

2. They were giving us a $150,000 credit limit with a "0.0%" (did not say APR), "or no payments for 90 days. No activation or annual fees…"

3. Call now to activate and start using the card.

4. The 16 digit card number is made to look like a VISA card number, 16 digits and starting with a 4. It is obviously NOT a Visa Credit card.

5. Apparently we, as a business, have been a member of Notable Capital since 08/16, but the card is only valid thru 09/16. It is already 09/26. The front of the letter is CLEARLY and PURPOSEFULLY and DECEITFULLY advertising itself as a credit card company offering our business an immediate $150,000 line of credit.

6. Upon further investigation of the letter, the back in very small print says "This is not an offer of credit. Notable Credit reserves the right to verify your financial information and to confirm your credit worthiness in its sole discretion. This will include, but is not limited to, verifying banking and trade relationships and obtaining credit reports. Notable Capital Fraud Protection Program protects the owner of this business."

7. So essentially what I have gathered is that upon calling the "credit card activation number" I will be allowing their company the right to all of my financial records and credit information.

I did more research on the company and found that they used to go by IMCA Capital. Clearly this is a scam that needs to be addressed before this company is permitted to inflict any harm on people and their personal financial information, or worse, use this information to scam them out of their hard earned money. Please look into this immediately and put these scam artists behind bars where they belong. They should not be allowed to just create a new fake company because its old company name is now tainted with credit card fraud.

When they respond with this cookie cutter rebuttal to their scam: "We would like to assure you that the letter sent in the mail was simply an invitation to apply for credit. We received your information from a public database. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. You will be removed from our database…", please keep in mind this letter in no way says anything about an invitation to apply for credit. And are they a company that is even authorized to grant said "credit"? Are they going to provide me with a $150,000 line of credit? Or is their goal to use me and my financial information for personal business gain? I believe it is the latter and they should be prosecuted for such blatant deception.

What appears to be a real credit card with a 16 digit credit number and "available credit" of $500,000 came addressed to a former partner in the name of our business. It states, "Here is your new Notable Capital Premium Platinum card" and instructs the addressee to call immediately to activate. It is obviously a scam since the card is only good for a month, has no signature line, and has no security card. I do not know this company and have not requested a credit card from them. Upon googling, i found that this was not a real credit card, …no surprise. As i understand, if you call Notible or go to their website to activate the card, it gives Notible permission to access my credit report and other personal information. Received what appeared to be a new credit card in the USPS with my name over the name and address of a company that I work with frequently (as a contractor – not even an employee). It looked exactly like the mailings I receive from my legitimate credit card issuing companies. I checked with the Company shown on the card who were surprised, having no knowledge of the card. I looked more closely and on the back of the paperwork – at the very bottom (and in very fine print) it stated that Notable Capital reserves the right to verify my creditworthiness.

Obviously a sleight of hand to trick folks into "activating the card" – to open a new unsolicited credit account.

I will destroy the card – just hope that’s sufficient to keep me out of credit and identity trouble.

I received what appears to be a credit card (unsolicited) in the standard plain white envelope that is used when new cards are issued by a credit card company. Indicates my available credit is $150,000. Has an expiration date of one month following the "member since" date.

When I asked him about the apr, loan interest rates etc. he told me the interest would be the going rate, maybe about 4%, i asked him if that was on the dollar amount or monthly, he began to explain…. "If you are given a working capital loan it would be deposited into your business account, say it was $10,000.00…"

at which point i began to laugh uncontrollably, he asked me if it was funny, i said yes, he said well what amounts do u purchase in, (me laughing) hundreds? (me laughing, "yes")

Told him he was probably was looking for the manufacturing plant down the road, he could send me his application, but I probably wouldn’t qualify.

Type of a scam Credit Cards

This letter came in a plain white envelope, just like a real credit card. It says "HERE IS YOUR NEW NOTABLE CAPITAL PREMIUM PLATINUM CARD". There are multiple activation notices on the letter — just like on a real credit card. The letter even says that I have a $150,000 credit limit. I don’t have a credit card from Notable Capital, and I never requested one. The card says "Member Since 8/16", but the expiration is "9/16".

The card number format begins with a "4" and is 16 digits long. That’s VISA. Yet nowhere does this letter or card say "VISA" or have the VISA logo.

The phone numbers on the letter only discuss activation. I know from my real credit cards that calling the number from my home will automatically activate the card. But I don’t want to activate it; I want this stopped.

Also, there is no signature box or CVV2, and there are no other codes printed on the back of the card.

Flipping the letter over showed a blank page with a tiny paragraph at the bottom: "This is not an offer of credit. Notable Capital reserves the right to verify your financial information and to confirm you credit worthiness in its sole discretion. This will include, bit is not limited to, verifying banking and trade relationships and obtaining credit reports. Notable Capital Fraud Protection Program protects the owner of this business."

Looking over the entire front page, there is absolutely nothing that identifies this as an advertisement. In fact, it explicitly says that it is a credit card (with $150,000 in credit available). On the back, they say it is not a credit offer.

I have a received a credit card in my name against my business from Notable Capital. I have never requested or asked for any credit card related information from this company and I have no such need. And the said credit card that was dispatched came with only one number for the purposes of activation. Despite that I tried calling this number in anticipation of speaking to someone and resolve the issue. However the call does not connect. I am deeply concerned by these practices. It is a service I did not ask for and I do not want to be victim of any financial fraud. I am worried that I even tried calling this number.

Additionally the card sent does not have a signature panel, CVV code, any Visa branding, which does not speak well for the credibility this mailing.

I am hopeful that my calling the number did not activate anything as I did not enter the 16 digit card #; which is asked for on the web site and therefore I have not pursued.

I have reported the concern to the FTC

This letter came in a plain white envelope, just like a real credit card. It says in big letters "HERE IS YOUR NEW NOTABLE CAPITAL CAPITAL PREMIUM PLATINUM CARD". And there are multiple activation notices on the letter — just like on a real credit card.

There’s just one problem… I don’t have a credit card from Notable Capital, and I never requested one. In fact, I’ve never heard of Notable Capital.

First, there is no contact phone number. The only number on the back of the card is for a different activation phone number.

Second, there is no signature box. Regardless of how useless it is and how seldom it is checked, the signature box is a required part of the credit card. (See USC Title 15 Section 1643(a)(1)(F).)

Third, there is no CVV2 and there are no other codes printed on the back of the card. Real credit cards have a couple of different numeric codes around the signature box. These are used to validate the card when the physical card is not present. (Such as when making a purchase online or over the phone.)

An actual credit card shows up with name and business name on it with no other number than an activation number and the credit limit is $150,000 only good for about a month from you getting it they are wanting you to call and up date information with them DO NOT!!! We were lucky it came with the name of a former employee so we had a heads up to the fishy letter and card right away. THIS IS A WAY FOR THEM TO ACCESS YOUR CREDIT AND OPEN YOU TO FURTHER SCAMS, no supervisors avail and they hang up on you when asking more detailed questions. DO NOT ACTIVATE THE CARD DO NOT GIVE INFORMATION! BE AWARE THIS COMPANY HAS CHANGED ITS NAME AS WELL….STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFER it will only be aiding in a larger problem of fraud and scam rings. I looked it up and this company has ScamPulse.com complaints and warnings on other avenues of the internet. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!

I received this Premium Platinum card from Notable Capital stating $150,000 available credit

along with account number 4003 7002 4306 2916 THAT IS ON THE CARD. This isn’t mine but on the card sent.

delivered to my business address at the Post Office. I receive notices from the Post Office of new mail.

I went down picked up the letter and it was addressed to my home address but delivered to my Post Office

address here in Saint George, UT.

I didn’t call the number on the form but I did go online to the website and put my name, phone, and the card number

on the card that was sent. I received an email shortly afterwards saying I would be receiving a phone call from

my assigned assistant. Never received the call.

Then I started looking closer and really feel this is a SCAM.

They sent my wife what looks like a credit card, stating that it has an available credit of $150000, and indicating that she could call to activate it. However, while it has a 16-digit Visa like number (i.e. it starts with 4), the card doesn’t say "Visa". There’s no way to sign it. The business it came to is closed. And we did not request a credit card. In little bitty letters on the back of the page, it says "This is not an offer of credit."

Type of a scam Credit Cards

I received in the mail what for all intents and purposes, appears to be a credit card from Notable Capital. It says Notable Capital Platinum on the front, has a 16-digit pressed number on the front, valid from 5/16 thru 7/16 and has my personal name on the front and the name of my wife’s former medical practice, closed in 2010. ON the back it has what appears like a magnetic strip, and the following text: "Platinum Lease Card – Your card is issued and services by Notable Capital." The back also lists their website www.notablecapital.com, their address Notable Capital, 4900 N Scottsdale Rd #4500, Scottsdale, AZ 85251, but has no signature strip. I spoke with my a local merchant services company who stated that the 1st 6-digit identifier on the card is not affiliated with any bank and is therefore not a credit card. The trifold statement that the card was attached to with hot glued, looks like any new credit card delivery package you receive with legitimate cards, including a $150,000 credit limit. The website landing page asks you to "Activate" the card by entering the 16-digit # contained on the from of the card. It also displays the following pitch "We can’t loan you a dream. We can loan you the capital to achieve it. STARTING THE PROCESS IS QUICK AND EASY. When you need working capital, we know you don’t have time to wait. Just fill in the form below and submit it. We’ll be in touch shortly." I did not enter this information or call them. Neither I nor my wife ordered or request this card or any service from Notable Capital. The activation # on the sticker affixed to the card and on the attached statement (1-877-297-9496) card is not the same as the # listed on the website landing page (1-877-251-9701). I neither called nor entered the information requested our of concern that this would only provide them my valid phone number to affiliate with the information they already have.
