Type of a scam Employment
I responded to a posting on Craigslist. It was to have your car wrapped. (advertising firm). The posting said $600.00 a week. Ok that sounded to good to be true right. I emailed them my phone number, and two days later they sent me 10 text messages all one right after the other. I new right then it was a scam. The messages said I would need to text them my address so that they could send me a check for $18,500. I was to deposit 3 weeks of pay at $600.00 a week, and get a certified cashiers check in the amount of $16,700 and send it back to them. That is when I called The BBB. (YOU SEE THE $18,000 CHECK IF IS NOT REAL, IT IS A COUNTERFIT DOCUMENT. (WHICH LEAVES YOU TO PAY BACK THE $18.500). This guy even physically called me after I did not respond back to him. JUST A HEADS UP TO ALL OF YOU. DO NOT BE TAKEN FOR ANYTHING BY THESE SCAMMERS. THE GUY WAS ASIAN, I COULD TELL BY THE ACCENT. MY CAR WAS SUPPOSEDLY GOING TO BE WRAPPED WITH ADS FOR HP COMPUTERS AND SOFTWARE. I HAVE NOT HEARED BACK FROM THEM SINCE I QUITE ANSWERING THE PHONE 2 DAYS AGO. WEDNESDAY AFTER I DID NOT RESPOND TO ANY OF THE TEXT MESSAGES THE CALLS STOPPED.
