The number 844-210-5817 has been repeatedly calling my home phone (not sure how they obtained my number). An automated system calls asking for my grandmother and gives a case number. I did some research of the phone number and I found numerous posts about calls from this number being scams. The scam is that "Northwest Recovery Associates" are collecting a debt. Other people have been receiving calls from this number for years. I am not sure how they knew my grandmother’s name or how they got my home phone number.

Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
A company is calling me from a company NORTHWEST RECOVERY ASSOCIATES in reference to a payday loan. I have never taken a payday from this company. They call & threaten me and they said I will be served with court papers & will end up in jail. They need to stop & stop calling my affiliates and workplace. They sound American but they are from INDIA. As soon as I say I have my lawyer involved or FBI, they hang up.
