Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes
A woman called me on my cell phone. There was a long pause and she said, "I’m sorry. I’m having trouble with my headset, can you hear me?" I said yes and then she proceeded to offer me a travel deal. I said I wasn’t interested and hung up. It was only later I realized that I had read about a scam that tries to get you to say yes so that they can record your voice saying yes and then later say that you approved certain charges. It was a local phone number so I was less inclined to be suspicious.
