Type of a scam Phishing
I received a call from someone as follows: this is Rebecca calling on a recorded line, can you hear me OK? I said yes but I’m not interested in what you’re selling. After I said that I realized they were no longer on the line & remembered about the scam going around where the caller wants your recorded voice saying yes. The number showed up as a town in South Dakota & I was expecting a call from someone coming to pick up an item so answered the phone. Normally I wouldn’t have answered. I called my phone company & they suggested alerting my credit cards & bank, which I have done.
