Type of a scam Healthcare/Medicaid/Medicare
I answered a call on my home phone. I live in senior living facility. It was a person named Amy on the line. She stated my name was selected to receive a free medical alert. She said to press one for further information. I pressed number one. A man came on the line. He asked me a number of questions. Asked if I was handicapped or live alone. I was interested to a point. He said I am eligible and recommended for a free medical alert worth $400. I told him I already have one. He said that I could upgrade for $39.95. I told him you just said it was free. I said why do I have to pay if it is free. I hung up. I caught on to him. I called the number back. 440-296-5210. It clicked and disconnected. Someone may fall for this. I did not give him a chance to ask for personal information. Why would i deal with someone I could not call back.
