contacted via phone by an alleged staffing company www.pridestaffingco.com/ "Pride Staffing Co" with potential job placement opportunity at Amazon. The job specs stated as one of the requirements that applicants must have the "scrum product owner" certification or it could be in progress. The staffing company provided the name of an "approved Amazon training company" Learning-Era www.learning-era.com. They advised that once that Amazon was interested in my profile, but i order to submit me I needed to provided confirmation that I was enrolled in the training. It all seemed legitimate at the moment. It was a fairly sophisticated operation, the had found my resume online. as I was at the moment looking for a job, called me with an potential job, based on my profile and current tittle, they had also pulled real job description from an Amazon careers site. They even asked me if I was available to interview on a certain date. I enrolled in the training, they had what it seemed a legit website, and provided proof that I had paid and enrolled. The following day I asked who was going to call me for the initial phone interview, and they were unable to provide the name. They said they would be in touch. At this point is when I started to get suspicious- saw the training charge in my online bank statement for 499 by Canadian based company NIWTONTECH E LEARNING. I googled the name, and learned that it was a scam that already had been reported to the BBB. They create fake staffing company’s, in this case Pride Staffing Co – they change their name every few months, and are in sync with NIWTONTECH E LEARNING – aka, Learning-Era. Needless to say all the folks provide fake names, from the accents can tell they are all from India. The websites provide a decent front- but its just a front. No interview ever materialized obviously and I reported them to my bank. BEWARE.

Was contacted with promise of employment opportunity, I needed SCRUM-Master Training to be considered. They provided provided proof of enrollment and payment. I found similar scams online (the exact scam on bbb.org) only after I paid the $500. Once I provided proof of payment they now say an interview is pending, perhaps a few weeks way.
