Website: http://nintgame.com
Products Sold: Nintendo game consoles, games, accessories
Location: Supposedly there is a warehouse in New Jersey, but product is shipped from China and has to be shipped back to China in the case of a refund request.
The nintendo switch is a popular game console that has been selling quickly since the pandemic started. I have had a hard time finding one for my daughter and ended up on the ningame.com website. They advertise that they have Switches available and fast shipping. The price was exactly what MSRP was, so it wasn’t an overly "great" deal. I went ahead and ordered a switch console. The company immediately took the money from my account. Most companies don’t take the money until they ship and I think this "company" gets around that because a tracking number is generated as soon as a label is created, not when the package ships. It took 5 weeks for the item to reach me from China.
The package was about 6 inches square, so I knew right away something was wrong. Inside the package was a beat-up box with cheap plastic handles in it. On the front of the package it showed item number I’d ordered and that I paid $250. OBVIOUSLY I would never pay that for a set of $10 plastic handles I can get at any department store or Amazon without waiting 5 weeks.
I purchased this through PayPal so I figured I was somewhat protected. Unfortunately, since the nintgame site requires whatever item you receive to be sent back for a refund, PayPal wouldn’t help me. The company wants the handles back within 7 days of when I received them in the mail. The cost to ship them to China is almost $40 and not guaranteed to reach there in 7 days. More likely the same 5 weeks I had to wait for them. So in the end, this fraudulent company gets to keep my money.
I’m writing because this is a huge disappointing problem. Now that the site has been up for a few months there are a lot more complaints exactly like mine out there. We all ordered switches and all received the same crappy handles and the same runaround trying to be refunded.
