Type of a scam Government Grant

I’m 70 years old, my electric is about to be turned off, I was so hopeful. I got a Facebook message from the woman who runs our food pantry, I know her real well, she’s a Christian woman and she got $50,000 from NIH Grant and she told me to call Christine Legard 334-595-9124. Christine texted me, told me to go to Walmart and buy two $200 Amazon gift cards. But I’m not likely to get anything but my $400 gone. Their website is https://nihgrant.net/apply-now. They have my information, but not bank or social security. They have my address, and that I’m on Sect 8, and they know all about my bills. She keeps telling me this program is real and legit.

Total money lost $1,000

Type of a scam Government Grant

I just found out about this today….My daughter was called by a person (NIH grants) claiming he could clean up her credit and get her about $15,000.00. So she goes to my wife and talks her into getting a $300 dollar money order for the application and then $700.00 money order to get the credit rating upgrade started. Then telling my daughter over the phone that she should see the 15k in the bank account within that same day. End result, this "person" says that her credit isn’t good enough so she’ll have to send another $1600 to get it fixed, then all should be okay.

After I found out about this today, I called this Richard Johnson person to find out what was going on and he started giving me the run around about what good they can do for her. I ask for my money back and he says that if my daughter doesn’t wish to proceed with the "grant" then the money will be given to charity.
