Type of a scam Online Purchase
On the website letgo there was an ad advertising a 97 Jeep Wrangler list it for $1,000. You couldn’t contact them through let-go Communications you had to email them. Upon emailing them I received a response with a story stating that their son was killed 4 months ago and by a drunk driver and this is why they were selling it for a reasonable price. The urgency was to get rid of it because it brought bad memories. Upon checking into this there is no information at all about Nicola and Michael Slater. They insisted on using eBay motors to purchase however they only want it to use a gift card transaction versus PayPal. I called the number Listed that they provided and it took me to a California number. I went on eBay’s official website and the numbers don’t match nor the transaction process. Beware!!! Total scammer!
