Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
I received a phone call from NewYorkPersonalLoans.com The caller state I was pre approved for a $3500 loan. The callers name was Helen Smith. Caller stated I had contacted them online. I do not recall filling out an application. I became suspicious when they requested $150 upfront. Fee was to see if I was credit worthy. Wanted me to pay by a google Play Card to see if I was credit worthy. I did not send any money. The phone number in my caller ID 929-390-0222. They also called me from 929-390-1798. They gave a loan ID number LLB112004. My caller ID showed New York NY. They did not give me an address. As soon as they asked for money on a Google Play Card I knew this wasn’t right.
