Type of a scam Online Purchase
Last month I bought a product online called Neuro Boost IQ for $4.95, a vitamin that was supposed to help increase focus. After the purchase, it said that a confirmation email would be sent to me, I never got an email. A couple weeks later I received the product in the mail along with another product called Neuro Energy, which I never bought. I checked my bank account to make sure I wasn’t charged for it, and sure enough I had been charged $4.97 from "True Energy" for this Neuro Energy product, AND I had been charged another $89.78 from Neuro Boost IQ (which shows up as IntellifusIQ on my bank statement) as well as another $79.97 from True Energy. I went back to the website and saw the very small fine print which I didn’t see the first time that said "By submitting, you agree to having read and agreed to our Terms and Conditions and after your 14 day trial period has expired, being enrolled in our membership program for $89.78 plus shipping per month. You can cancel anytime by calling (800) 401-1032 or by email 24/7 [email protected]" When I tried to call the number given there was a voice recording saying that there were no representatives available but to leave my full name and phone number and a representative would call me back at another time. I then reported this to my bank to file a dispute and have my card shut off, and they were able to get two additional contact numbers to attempt to contact these people (833-609-5441 for IntellifusIQ and 835-609-5446 for True Energy). When I called both these numbers they all had the SAME recording as the first number saying to leave my number and they’d call me back at another time. This is a clearly a scam! They give you a number to call and tell you that you can cancel your subscription at any time but then you can’t get ahold of them and they never call you back. I wasn’t going to report this because it’s my own fault for being so naive and falling for a scam, and for not paying close enough attention, but I want these people stopped from scamming anybody else!
