Received a bill for our website for annual renewal. This is not our provider for registration. Phishing scam for payment. INV # IN-478288 for Annual Renewal of our website. Invoice dated 7/13/20 for "Annual Renewal Website Listings" service from 8/13/20-8/13/21. NOT our website host – I want the company removed from their customer list.

We do not use this company for our website or anything else and have not requested anything from them that would indicate that we have any indication in doing so. Prior to this fake invoice we have never even heard of them or had any interaction with them.

Ecery year Internet Networx sends this scam "invoice" for an "Annual Renewal" although we have never been their customer.

It gives the initial impression of an annual renewal of domain registration with the warning:

"To ensure Website listing is not suspended please remit payment. DNS listing will be cancelled 30 days after suspension."

Only in fine print does it state "We are not a Domain Registrar and we do not register or renew domain names."

We received an annual renewal notice for our domain stating that is was and annual renewal website listings service from 07/29/2020 thru 07/29/2021. It had a customer #, invoice #, due date and looked very official. On the reverse side it had the same information and ways to make your payment with a place for address update and stating that your listing would be suspended if not paid by the due date. In very small print was a statement that stated it is an offer to leading websites throughout the US to enhance their website exposure and to expose them to new customers. Then it stated that they are not a domain registrar and do not register or renew domain names. In all caps in the same paragraph it says this is an annual renewal.

Had I not looked up this company in our accounting software to see if we paid them before I could have easily paid this almost $200 "invoice" as part of our usual accounts payable process. I’m sure in larger companies this would have just been paid without a second thought. This is an extremely deceptive way of getting businesses to pay for something they don’t need.

Received an invoice letter for "Annual Renewal" referencing our company domain. We do not use this registrar. The "invoice" is put together to look "official" with a customer number and an invoice number. Looking on their website FAQ’s they tell you it is not an invoice, that you don’t have to pay and that they are not a registrar. Appears they offer to increase your searchability in all search engines as their subscription service… Very misleading.

We received one last year as well but threw it in the trash. After receiving another one this year, decided to make a complaint.

Customer received an invoice for an "Annual Renewal." The invoice does not detail what the renewal services is and does not include the company’s phone number . The renewal appears to be a domain renewal, but is a renewal for their directory listing services.

"If you choose not be renewed please send back bill with cancel service on it in capital letters. "

We received a bill for $194, dated June 1, 2020 from Internet Networx (as we have previous years) for "ANNUAL RENEWAL WEBSITE SERVICES" for our website. It does not state the required "This is not an invoice…" It does say, "this website listing offer is provided to leading websites throughout the US to enhance their Website exposure and to expose them to new customers. We are not a domain register and we do not register or renew domain names… THIS IS AN ANNUAL RENEWAL. CANCELLATIONS PLEASE MAIL AND WRITE CANCEL ON RETURN COUPON OR EMAIL." Just got a bill for services listed as "Annual renewal website listings, service from 5/13/2020 thru 5/13/2021". Have no idea who this company is but obviously not sending any money. Looks like a bill, on the back it does say in smaller print that "This is not a bill. This is a solicitiation."

The ‘bill’ says: "Please remit payment by 5/13/2020," "Return by," "TotalDue,"

Banking on the fact that many companies might just not notice and pay what looks exactly like a bill. SCAM. No phone number on this at all. Very angry right now. Glad that the company is on the other side of the country.

Company sent an invoice indicating the service being billed was for the annual renewal of website listings service from X date – Y Date (upcoming ‘renewal’ period). Invoice was addressed directly to Accounts Payable, likely under the hope the accounting team would not know if the invoice was legitimate. Invoice appears to indicate our "customer #", and requests payment by a certain date. The invoice does list language intended to cause the recipient to fear their website will be taken down if they do not pay the invoice: "To ensure Website listing is not suspended please remit payment before 5/13/2020", where the ‘please remit payment…’ section is underlined for emphasis. Also listed on the back of the invoice is language related to the fact that this is a solicitation.

We received a letter from Internet Networx purporting to be a domain renewal request – which we initially thought was genuine since were were in the process of transferring domain providers. However, this company apparently has a history of these letters and after several emails/phone calls with our legitimate domain company we realized this was a fake. We strongly urge companies/individuals to exercise caution and ignore these letters/send complaints as appropriate. We worked with the bank on a resolution to the bill, but obviously it would have been better to not have the issue at all.

Our small business (nonprofit) received this solicitation in the mail which clearly looks like an invoice for internet services. It was intentionally made to look like an invoice – both visually and through choice of wording. However, I can imagine that MANY people would be fooled by this fake invoice. My trained bookkeeper was 100% ready to pay this "invoice" before I questioned it.

This is wrong on so many levels and very irresponsible of this company. They are clearly attempting to scam recipients into purchasing their services. Please look into and correct this wrongdoing.

Thank you.

Internet Networx sends you an invoice to "renew" the subscription for your website. We received 2 invoices within days of each other- they are counting on you not looking closely at the "invoice" to read the fine print that it is actually a solicitation. A legit business would have a physical address as their mailing address, not to mention a phone number for you to call customer service, neither of which they provide. We are a non-profit and use free website hosting via google- so we were briefly confused as to why we were getting an invoice, then looked closer at it and searched on the internet for info on this "company" to discover we were not the only ones getting these fake invoices.

We received an unsolicited mailer that appears to be a bill for domain name "listing" renewal. The initial impression is that this is for DNS registration renewal and on further reading perhaps listing in a search engine (which is never a paid service anyway). There is a note "THIS NOT A BILL. On January 2, 2020 we received an invoice totaling $194.00 for "Annual Renewal Website Listings". They sent it to us as an invoice and put in the fine print that is is not a bill but rather a solicitation, which according to my research will help them to avoid the legality of having the scam turn into a lawsuit. Please keep in mind this is not something you need to pay and that there is no listed phone number to reach them at.

We received an invoice from Internet Networx for the annual renewal of our website listing. This amount invoiced was $194.00. The invoice lists all of our information. This looks like a real invoice. We do not have service with this company.

Under the "Subscription Include" section, which should be your first clue – since this is grammatically incorrect. It should say: Subscription Includes: blah blah blah. At this end of this paragraph it reads: THIS NOT A BILL. THIS IS A SOLICITATION, in small print. Again, we would say, "This is not a bill." However, sending companies solicitations that read ANNUAL RENEWAL and look like a real bill is a scam. I can see how some companies might pay this bill without reading the fine print.

They need to cease and desist from ever contacting us again.

Type of a scam Home Improvement

The Networx Company advertises to help people find home improvement pros. You can list yourself as a pro/handyman with them and they will give you "qualified" leads. They charge you $200 to be listed with them. They give you leads to people that want to have home repairs done. Their recruiters are very pushy and aggressive when trying to get contractors to sign up for these leads. I am a handyman and I was going to sign up for their service. However, after talking with the pushy and aggressive recruiter I felt like this didn’t seem right. They said they only sign up four comanies in my area and they only had one spot left. They said I better hurry and sign up today or I would lose that spot. Something just didn’t feel right about this company. I did some searches on the Internet and found a lot of complaints about this company. I did not give them any money and I had to hang up on them just to get off the phone. They didn’t want me to get off the phone.

They listed a corporate office in Wyoming but when you look it on Google Maps it shows a real estate office.
