I was having issues with my Netflix account and couldn’t get into my account with my password. I couldn’t find their phone number. I googled telephone number for Netflix and it gave me an 888 number. I called the number and the person on the phone claimed they were Netflix. They claimed that 12 different people were on my account from Texas, California and Florida. The person told me that someone changed the password on my account. Then the person asked if they could have access to my computer to fix the problem. I gave them permission and they started accessing things on your computer. Eventually the person was trying to sell me a security feature for my computer. I refused but the person continued to try and sell me the product. After several attempts, I told them I wanted to terminate my account with Netflix and he told me he would terminate it and I would receive an email in 30 minutes. I never received an email. I went to google again and typed in contact information for Netflix and it gave me the Netflix website where I was able to get the correct information. I wanted to warn others about this scam.
